Fangirl [noun]- A rabid breed of human female who is obesessed with either a fictional character or an actor. Similar to the breed of fanboy. Fangirls congregate at anime conventions and livejournal. Have been known to glomp, grope, and tackle when encountering said obesessions. – urbandictionary
From the definition above, it is without doubt that I AM A FANGIRL and hell, am I damn proud to be one! I’ve met a lot of friends through fandoms (I’m of the Asian boyband-loving subgroup), where all we do in gatherings are ogle photos of pretty boys, outdo each other with our obsessive misadventures and yes, get hard-ons over fanservice.
Though I personally haven’t met Ninomiya Kazunari yet (we will get married someday, mmkay?), I’ve had my share of OMG!-DID-I-REALLY-SHAKE-HIS-HAND?!-I-THINK-I-WET-MY-PANTS moments. Because even stars get starstruck, too…. *is swallowed by the pavement*
I have been a fan of Alvin Patrimonio since I was like three years old. So much so that 16 has become my favorite number because of him. Please blame my mother for that. Just imagine my delight when I met him while I was an intern for a sports show and I think I fainted for 4 seconds.
I didn’t have paper for him to sign his autograph on so uhm, we tore up a part of our script where he wrote “Kring, I think you’re the most awesomest girl in the world and you’re so hot. Let me love you! FTW!” Okay wait, it’s probably not exactly what he wrote but to me, it’s just the same. (My mom was more excited than me though when I told her the story. She wanted me to have the piece of paper laminated or something).
Also, because I work in the entertainment industry, I get to have access to showbiz shizzes and I put my fangirl hormones to good use. Like the time I kissed one of the Parokya ni Edgar guys (he offered his cheek, I wanted the lips) or the moment when I glomped a film director and confessed my undying love for his masterpiece and even when I told one of Carlo Aquino’s friends that at 15, I knew that C.A. and I will be together someday…
And just a few days ago, I was introduced to Rey Valera, THE Rey Valera. He praised our work whilst I frothed my mouth and died inside. Then I had my picture taken with him, only that at the time I was drunk like Britney at the VMA’s kinda tipsy, hence, I looked wasted in the picture. ASDFGHJKL!!!
Oh, how I love being a fangirl!
PS: Excuse my prolonged absence and such. I’ve been living in the eye of a storm these days…

Fangirls are the most dangerous creatures in the world.
Second only to a sheep with an AK-47.

BWAHAHAHA! Yes, fangirls have got the ability to rule the world since they have celebrities in the palm of their hands. Plus, I firmly believe that 78% of the women who have access to the Internet are fangirls. If they all banded together, DOOMINATION.
Fanboys don’t even stand a chance. They just don’t have the same kind of dedication.
