These, my friends, are the reasons why I haven’t blogged in almost a month.
Since early October, my team and I have been working on an event, which honestly, was much bigger than what I had expected- The Estee Lauder Holiday Spectacular. Much as I’d like to share more details about what we went through in putting it together, I’d rather keep mum about it or I’d lose my job and maybe upset some people. So everything you’d read here would be about rainbows and butterflies and yes, solid perfumes. Effing expensive ones at that.
(Let me just make a disclaimer that the young and beautiful Marketing Manager of Estee Lauder Philippines, Crystal Lee, allowed me to write about this…)
So the event was held last November 11 at The Gallerie of Rustan’s Makati. Sorry if this may sound brash or whatev but man, our set was just… whoah wtf. Red carpet everywhere, posh cocktail tables, showcase displays adorned with the exclusive Estee Lauder solid perfumes (more on that later), and may I not forget the humongous Gwyneth Paltrow backdrop.
Just like in any other events we’ve done in the past, we were a bunch of nerves prior to the start of the program. And when I say prior, I mean 2 weeks prior. (Oh gawd, I’m really itching to tell you of the things that almost made me punch some people in the face but I R A PROFESHUNUL and shall zip my lips and just keep you guessing *winks ala Sarah Palin*)

Anyhow, the event was a S-U-C-C-E-S-S. The Brazilian models were gorgeous (and that includes the boyfriend of our talent, who happens to be one of the most good-looking men I’ve ever laid eyes on. I’m not even exaggerating. He smiled at me while I was busy and shit and I kid you not, he literally took my breath away). The Philippine Opera Company was remarkable, as usual, and it doesn’t hurt, too that that Jack Salud guy is crazy hot. Oh, and the food from Manila Peninsula and wine from Rene Barbier were delicious and really shala. The number of media and press people who came, as well as the quality of guests who attended totally overwhelmed us. I was like “Where did they come from? Only 2 shows/networks confirmed to me! And is that Mario Dumawal? Lolz.”

The Team: Calai, Len, Chrina and yours truly, sans the make-up. With our boss, Ton.

BEAUTIFUL. Both the fragrance and the model…

Estee Lauder cupcakes from Sonja’s! OMG YUM!
Going back… I don’t have that much money and I can’t really afford them but seriously, those little things are beyond pretty. And they’re collectors items, too! The exclusive Estee Lauder solid perfumes are being showcased around the world and will be in the country until the 16th (by the time you read this, they’re probably in Czekoslovakia already or sum’in). Catch the exhibit at Rustan’s Makati but sorry, Gwyneth Paltrow won’t be there to entertain you.
ps: I honestly dunno how I make these things work sometimes but if you got a good team to back you up, I guess anything’s possible! Yuz, I was gone for 3 weeks and I gave you a boring entry. Sue me.

@ ceemee
Thanks, dear! Hope to have more of those next time. No, wait.
@ Tiffy
You know how RL kills online life, right? Lolz. I have a lot of these “excuses” on my blog, expecially after an unexpected hiatus. And yes, you can say I’m relieved alright.
