A Year Older

On the 24th of this month, I’d be turning a year older.

Do I feel old? YES. Do I feel like I’m not doing enough with my life which is the weirdest thing ‘coz I definitely have my hands full but still I’m an insatiable bitch? YES. Will I be deep and emo on this post? CERTAINLY NOT because I’ll save that for another entry.

For now, I present to you my… KRING’S BIRTHDAY WISHLIST!!! Just a disclaimer though, I’m not a very materialistic person. I mean, of course I don’t like poverty or anything like that but I’m just a girl whose face brightens up like an idiot whenever she receives presents. (No, really. My overly-expressive face fails me lot. I just can’t keep my glee.)

Anyhows, on with the list.

1. MACBOOK PRO

For obvious reasons. My other Toshiba laptop had died on me already. Well, I can’t access my internet and the motherboard has emotional issues or something. I use a Mac (Final Cut) for editing in the office and srsly, it wins in so many levels.

For some weird reason, too, MacBooks make people look, erm, sexier (let me reiterate that I am not materialistic, okay?). I might actually consider pulling a Hayden Kho if I get my own MBP… *looks around* or maybe not.

2. MINERAL MAKE-UP

I’m happy to report that my skin had drastically improved these past two months, much thanks to YSA Skin Care *ahem ahem*. And for that, I’d like to treat my face better by using mineral make-up, which aren’t the cheapest cosmetics in the world.

I can buy them myself, don’t get me wrong but you know, gifts >>> buying.

3. KICK-ASS SNEAKERS/SHOES

I think I love shoes more than I do clothes (speaking of clothes though, I need a clothing sponsor for my shows on flippish. I kid you not I have run out of clothes to wear already. You guys know of anyone? Shit, I digress too much. Anywayyy…) And I’m not the biggest fan of heeled and girly shoes because I look retarded in them. I, however, WILL KILL FOR THOSE FUNKY SNEAKERS AND BOOTS FASHADA!!!

Whoever will get me any of these for my birthday will be new BFF. SERIOUSLY. Click on the shoes for details!

4. BOOKS/DVD’s

I’m not much of a reader as I am a watcher albeit I’d love to read some Anne Rice novels, particularly her vampire chronicles (I’ve only read a few). Please, no more self-help books! I don’t know what it is with me that people seem to think that uhm, I need a book to tell me that “I am Beautiful” or that “I Can Win Friends in 7 Days”. It’s kind of offensive, really. Novels would do kthnx.

And yeah, though I can pretty much download everything on torrent, it’s always nice to have an original copy of some of the best films out there. I love Asian films with a passion and originals of The Chaser, The Good The Bad The Weird, Infernal Affairs, Farewell My Concubine or anything from Zhang Yi Mou, Gwak Jae-Young, Hayao Miyazaki and Stephen Chow would be SO. MUCH. LOVE.

5. PERSONALIZED STUFF

Just ‘coz I’m narcissistic like that.

No, seriously. Who doesn’t like things with their names on them? I certainly do. And not just names, anything that’s unique and one-of-a-kind, I just adore! You can have a Louis Vitton hand bag personalized with your initials, right? Just asking, yo!

So yeah, I have a feeling 2 people would give me gifts this 24th. My mom and maybe a friend *coughMishicoughIdin’tforgetaboutyourpromiseofBigBangshoes*. But if ever you decide to be nice and awesome and send me a real gift, you can send it to 1101 Pacific Center, Ortigas Center, Pasig City! LOLOLOLZ. Even a card would surely make my day… Yey!

Oh and before I forget, here’s a HUGE SHOUTOUT TO TOPHER whom I met last Saturday at the Cass Ph gathering! I swear I died a little when we were finally introduced and he handed me a letter, which was attached to a gift (a MAD magazine). Man, it was soooo surreal! Thank you thank you! I still haven’t finished reading the mag but it’s really funny!
