Photography by Daniel Tan (part 1)

As you all probably have figured out by now, I. LOVE. THE. CAMERA. I really enjoy projecting in front of it and being over-all, well, fierce. So imagine my delight when Daniel Tan (www.dtanph.com), one of the country’s most sought-after photographers invited me to do a shoot with him.

And I’d just let the photos do the talking and you decide on how awesome he is.

The theme for the shoot is… “KRING’S REAL SELF”. Lulz. And I ended up wearing tattered jeans and looking like an emo-grungy rocker whilst posing beside random garbage. Yes, those totez reflect my character.

“Whatchu lookin’ at, yo?”

Smoking for art’s sake, mmkay? Kids, do not try this at home.

Bitch, plz.

At the huge footbridge at Edsa-Cubao. Man, people were scratching their heads and looking at me funny. I loved it!!

“Hmm.. I wonder. Should I smack you in the face or poke your eyes out with my gay key pendant?”

And then it was studio tiemz!!! We proceeded to Daniel’s studio at San Juan and my nose bled when I saw what he did with the lighting. Hello, Calvin Klein ad?

Yes, those are my favorite pair of jeans. And they’re deconstructed. And worn inside out. I made them when I was 18. And that’s what dieting is for…

I mean, seriously. Minimal to no make-up. Poofy, un-blowdried hair. Cheap clothes. If you can make someone like me look good in those, dude, you deserve an award! *hands Daniel a trophy*

I’m not a tranny, just in case someone brings that up again. -_-

I’ve effin’ ran out of poses. These are just 14 of the 600+ photos we took. Also, I’d like to say that he pretty much didn’t post-process these anymore. You wouldn’t, too if you have mad skills. And if your camera’s more expensive than a car.

The first batch for now. The next ones are much cuter IMO because they’re made of flamboyancy and gay. No shit, they really are.

Also, because I know she’d throw a fit if I don’t mention her here, my Nana-half (she’s Hachi, I’m Osaki), Mishi helped out in the styling and the shoot and it wouldn’t have been possible without her. Naks!

ps: HEY HEY HEY!!! Remember the WHY DO YOU LOVE FLIPPISH CONTEST? Well, we already have a winnar! I had difficulty deciding on who it is so I had my friends choose for me. Unfortunately, the 1st choice, Mr. Rich Mulach doesn’t live in the Philippines and so I’m gonna have to treat someone else to dinner and that person is… TOPHER!
