This Year, I Will…

I never believed in New Year’s resolutions. It’s as much BS as Johnny Midnight’s pyramid and toning water, IMO. I mean, do people really stick by their resolutions throughout the year? And if you really want to change, well, do you really have to wait for the year to start?

I believe, however, in goals. And in writing them down (or posting photos on your wall, whatever floats your boat). That way, you are able to visualize and claim them. For some insane reason, the universe seems to conspire and makes it a reality. Case in point: I was able to accomplish all of those goals way before my deadline. I have lost weight (not necessarily gotten fit but who cares as long as I’m thin), saved up money, have better skin now (and I mean, waaayyy better), and while I’m not yet the Lee Hyo-ri of the Philippnes, I kind of, sort of have fans now. I think. *burst into a laughing fit* About the ADHD part though, I’m not quite sure but I have matured already, that’s for sure!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always the case. I mean, I did write down ages ago that I was gonna marry Nick-effing-Carter but thank God it never happened (because I grew a brain and changed my goals, not because I didn’t claim it)!!!

So anyway, for my first entry this 2010, I’ll write down all the things that I want to happen, nay, that WILL HAPPEN this year. Let the awesomeness begin!

1. This year, I will have a car

I don’t know when exactly or how the hell I’m gonna make it happen (I have saved up but heh… not for that) but I WILL BE DRIVING MY CAR THIS YEAR. Claimed and pwned, for serious. Ideally, it would be a Mazda 3 or to be more practical, a Honda Civic but anything would do, really (I’m not very choosy, except when it comes to men). I have begun to really hate (like, with a passion) commuting last year and I spend more on taxi fare than I would on gas so… Car, you shall be mine! Mine, I say! *insert evil laughter here* But first, license renewal.

2. This year, I will have a video with Ramon Bautista

I actually know the guy and really, he is made of cool. We have common friends and all but I don’t think he remembers me. LOL. So this year, whether he likes it or not, we will have a video together and it will pwn other viral videos. WAIT. Akshelly, we’ve already done a segment for Gameplan some 4-5 years ago, where I played a Japanese school girl teaching him how to play classic Pinoy games. True story (For copyright reasons, however, I cannot upload it but… a little prodding and nudging might convince me).

3. This year, I will go to Korea

… because Japan is X-times more expensive and I’m saving that trip for something more special *winks*.

So many of my friends have gone to Korea last year and since I’ve gotten back to Kpop, I thought, this would be a perfect time to visit the homeland of Sam Oh eonni (I’m a huge fan, why, you got a problem with that?) But not anytime soon because apparently, it’s damn cold there and ugh, swine flu gettawei!

Well, basically I’ll go there just to fangirl, uhm I mean, experience their culture *looks around*. You know, watch those music shows, visit those media companies and eat at those restos owned by stars. I dunno, the last one seems to be a fad amongst my peers. Also, I can try to audition for JYP and YG and who knows, I might be the next female Nickchun (I swear I LOL’d IRL typing the last sentence!)

I will most probably visit Kring in Seoul. No, it’s not a person. Believe it or not, there’s an art place called Kring in Gangnam. Bitch, plz. It’s destiny. I’m also thinking of going to T.O.P’s parents’ house and asking for their son’s hand but that would be too much, don’t you think?

Dear South Korean Embassy in the country, please be nice and give me a visa when I apply for one. I cannot promise that I won’t disturb peace there but I sure would blog about it! ^^ And dear airlines, MAKE DISCOUNTED TICKETS AVAILABLE GADDEMMET!!!

4. This year, I will be cast in a movie (preferably mainstream) and will have a regular TV show

Again, I have no idea how the hell this will come about but I believe in prayers and hard work. Maybe getting my ass off to audition for parts and such might be a good start. Then again, sleeping with producers might be easier. Joke! Hahahaerm… What? It was a joke! Kay? I was kidding. Sheesh.

5. This year, I will make money off of my blog

Man, I have been blogging since 2004 and as I said before, I have not earned a penny from it. So this year, I WILL MAKE MONEY!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF MOOLAH!!! Through ads, through endorsements, I don’t care as long as I make money (I’ve heard of stories about bloggers earning bajillions just… doing that- blogging, and it made green with envy)!!! But let it be known that I will never compromise my content. Nuh-uh. You cannot make me attend events and expect me to write about it for your own benefit. You cannot make me hold contests in exchange for a what, swag bag? No, my dear. I will only post about things that matter to me and my readers and this blog is brought to you by YSA Skin Care Center, your skin care authority.

6. This year, I will work harder

Because I slacked off last year and I’m not workaholic enough *crickets crickets* Productivity FTW! I promise to take care of my self more though and not get sick and burnt out. Also, I will make sure to party much harder, like the superstar that I am.

7. This year, I will have a spread in a magazine

No, not spread for a magazine, idiot! You know, have photo shoots and and be featured and such. Four years ago, that would have been far-fetched, given that I looked like a guy. I still do, don’t get me wrong but androgyny is the ‘in’ thing now. Having said that, well, I left my contact info here somewhere. Feel free to e-mail anytime if you’re interested.
