So last week, I got invited by one of my closest friends, Coy, to their Blackberry launch at Members Only. Mean, how could I say no? First, it’s Coy. Second, I’d get to party with the gang and third, I’ve never been to MO and I wanted to check out the posh bar/club.

Globe indeed knows how to throw a party. The crowd’s more “mature”, which is what I like and yeah, they basically showcased a really cool product/gadget.

On February 19, the Philippine Kpop Committee (the same people who brought to you the 1st Kpop Convention in the world), together with one of the hippest clubs in town, Alchemy, present to you… KPOP NIGHT (which is basically CLUBBING + KPOP HITS + ALCOLOL = MUDDAEFFIN’ FUN)!

Sa mga nakalipas na buwan, may mga iba akong nakakausap na binobola ako’t sinasabing sikat raw ako. “Lolz”, ‘yan ang aking sagot sa tuwina, “humihithit ka ba ng pulburon?”. Hindi porke’t may mga nakakakilala sa akin, pwede ko nang i-level ang sarili ko kay Lady Gaga. Matagal na naman akong kilala ng mga utao. Ng mga classmates at teachers ko nung elementary, ng mga kamag-anak ko, ng mga barker sa sakayan ng FX sa SM Fairview… Check mo, marami rin nakakakilala sa ‘yo, panigurado.

Siguro iba’t iba lang talaga ang standards ng kasikatan para sa mga tao pero I’d like to believe naman na maayos ang judgment ko pagdating sa ganitong bagay. So naisip kong i-qualify ito at ibigay ang mga concrete proof o examples kung paano mo malalaman na nasa tugatog ka na ng kasikatan.

1. May fansite ka.
Na gawa ng totoo mong fans (kadalasan pa nga, hindi mo sila kilala). Hindi dito kasali ang Facebook fanpage bilang pati aso ng kapitbahay ng janitor ng doctor ko nung grade 6, may fanpage na rin.

2. May haters ka.
Syempre, kung may fans, hindi mawawala ang ‘haters’. Tinatawag din silang ‘anti’s’ sa Korea. Sabi pa nga ng iba, ito daw ang ULTIMATE BASIS na you’ve made it. Kung may haters man ako, well, sorry na lang. You can’t please everyone talaga. Minsan nga, naka-tameme ka na lang, nagkakamot ng tenga, magkaka-haters ka pa rin.

And I believe that hate DOES NOT beget hate (potah English yun!). Kung gayon, kawawa naman si Kanye West- puno na siguro ng puot at galit ang puso nya. Kaya’t hayaan lang ang mga haters, kasama sa kasikatan ‘yan. At aminin na natin, tunay na superstar si Alodia Gosiengfiao. SHE PWNZ YOU BIGTIME.
