Thai Movie Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Written by Kring Elenzano on January 31st, 2011. Posted in Celebrity, Film and TV, Love and Relationships

Last night, I finally got to watch the Thai movie, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, which became a hit not only to Thai audiences, but to many Filipino teens as well. Make that ‘teens who are always on Facebook and actually care about Asian entertainment’. We wouldn’t have known about it if it was released like 10 years ago because it’s not shown nor promoted in the country. Let me begin by saying that the movie reminded me of those Korean movies that jump-started the Hallyu like My Sassy Girl.

My Sassy Girl of Thailand. You may quote me on that.

Seems like the Thai film industry is starting to catch up and I wouldn’t be surprised if a year or two from now, Thai-wave will take over Asia. PAKSHET NAPAG-IWANAN NA NAMAN TAYO?! We should’ve been next to Korea! Filmmakers, please stop producing movies that are just about poverty, prostitution and other depressing shit because there’s more to our country than Slumdog Millionaire-like themes! Fantasy movies and comedies about mothers with 10 children??? It’s time to move forward! MORE RPG METANOIA, PLEASE!

Whew. Now that I got that off my chest, lemme start with my “not-so-review”.

Designer of the New Philippine Peso Bills

Written by Kring Elenzano on January 27th, 2011. Posted in Philippines

I’ve been itching to see and touch the newest Philippine Peso bills since it came out last month so imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that one of our guests for GoNegosyo is the firm that made the design (at least the side with the human faces) as well as the MAIN DESIGNER who did the layout.

Yup! That’s me with the CEO of Studio 5 Designs, Marily Orosa and creative director, BG Hernandez

I know of people whose works have been featured in billboards and book covers and have sold paintings all over the world. But to have your work seen by literally every single person in the country must be every artist’s wet dream. Mr. BG said he was ecstatic when they got chosen to do it!

Personally, I like this design better than the older bills. I think it looks classier hahaha. Some even say it looks like the Euro, while my boyfriend, being the typical Korean that he is, thinks it was inspired by the Won. >__<

New Year, New FunnySexy Look

Written by Kring Elenzano on January 23rd, 2011. Posted in Personal

Hello, internet! Welcome to the brand-new Funny is the New Sexy blog! OMG is my layout kyot or what!!! Before I even lose my thoughts rambling about this long-overdued blog make-over, let me first thank the person who made this possible – RANDOLPH NOVINO, who volunteered to help me out with this. But no, he didn’t just help me. He muddaeffin’ did everything! And that guy crazily works fast! We’re going out for dinner this week, dude! I owe you big! *hugs*

So anyway, I’m super duper excited and happy, I just wanna throw a party, with beerbong contests and a lot of boobs and give everyone free spa treatment or something… but I have no money.

Finally, blog make-over after two years and it’s got a lot of shiny things!

Other than the fact that my photos are changing every 3 seconds on the header (time for new photoshoots stfu you’re narcissistic too), it’s three columns now, which makes it more… balanced, I guess. And it just over-all looks more… organized. Plus it finally has social network widgets, which will make it easier for me to be stalked, I mean, followed. >_<;;; (Who do you think you are, Kring? Alodia Gosiengfiao?)
