Designer of the New Philippine Peso Bills

I’ve been itching to see and touch the newest Philippine Peso bills since it came out last month so imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that one of our guests for GoNegosyo is the firm that made the design (at least the side with the human faces) as well as the MAIN DESIGNER who did the layout.

Yup! That’s me with the CEO of Studio 5 Designs, Marily Orosa and creative director, BG Hernandez

I know of people whose works have been featured in billboards and book covers and have sold paintings all over the world. But to have your work seen by literally every single person in the country must be every artist’s wet dream. Mr. BG said he was ecstatic when they got chosen to do it!

Personally, I like this design better than the older bills. I think it looks classier hahaha. Some even say it looks like the Euro, while my boyfriend, being the typical Korean that he is, thinks it was inspired by the Won. >__<

It’s made of abaca and cotton. How Pinoy is that? You can prolly sew them together and turn them into barong!

And to those who do not like the design? You have no choice! You need AND want money and you’ll be seeing it every single day of your life mwahahahaha! Again, congratulations to the team of Studio 5 Designs!
