Direk for Swish Mangosteen Mint and Cinnamon Blast

This is a rather late pimp post (a month late, in fact) but you see, I was never late for school when I was still studying so I’m making up for it. Last month, I and the Flippish team became part of Swish Mouthwash‘s online campaign for its new flavors, Mangosteen Mint and Cinnamon Blast. I must say, this project was one of the most fun that I’ve done, not only ‘coz it’s Direk (and Direk is like… that’s me!), but because I got to play all the characters on the video, too!

1. Psychologically-challenged Girl

To be honest, I don’t exactly know what’s wrong with her mentally but she’s super hyper and she’s dancing in her ugly lolo pajamorts (pajama shorts). Actually, to put it bluntly, she’s just like Palibhasa Lalake’s Cynthia Patag. On ecstacy.

2. Awkward Accountant

Why so specific, you may ask. Why does it have to be an accountant – not a clerk, a secretary or a receptionist? Hehehe. You see, this character had a peg. It was patterned after a real person, who just happens to be an accountant. It was easier for me and for the team to internalize the role if we put that in mind. Don’t worry, we’re still good friends! She was actually at the studio while I was shooting this.

3. Chicano-Gangstah Dude

And with a dude voice, at that! This character pwns so much, I didn’t want to take off my make-up after! Lolz. Some said I looked like the more gwapo version of my brother and in fact, a lot of people were fooled by this image. Last week, I used this as my profile pic just to you know, screw with people’s heads harhar. And somebody messaged me about something and called me sir. FTW!

4. Emo Goth

Kind of self-explanatory, don’t you think? She likes black and probably eats babies for dinner.

5. Traditional Korean Woman

A Hangukeo-speakin’, hanbok-wearin’, mudda effin’ Koryan woman of win! It’s super kyot, yanno! I love wearing hanboks! Thanks to the boyfriend, too for translating the script. =)

And last but not the least,

6. Normal Girl

If normal to you means looking like one of the characters on White Chicks. LOL. That was still a rather awkward smile.

So now that I’ve listed down all the characters that I played, how about let’s go on to the video now, huh? Hope you guys like it as much as I do! No, really, this is perhaps my most favorite Direk episode to date.
