How I Lost 6 Lbs and 2 Inches in Two Weeks
If you’re following me on Facebook or Twitter, you probably know by now that for half a month, I did The Master Cleanse and basically did not have even a morsel solid food for about 12 days. Some people may say it’s crazy and I can’t blame them, I agree. However, it’s a good kind of crazy detox and I can say with conviction that it’s one of the biggest accomplishments that I’ve done in my life. Ever!
At the end of the “journey”, I lost 6 lbs and 2 inches off my waist. Though I wanted to shed off excess fats (I was starting to hate my body again and felt the need to do something), weight-loss, IMO is only the secondary benefit. It’s more for cleansing, really. Again, let me remind you that physiologically, you can survive that long without solid food but mentally, uggggh. It was hell. Let me share with you my experience, from my “TMC diary”.
EASE IN

Before you start with the Lemonade Diet, you have to prep your digestive system first and you have three days for that. As for what you should eat, kindly refer to the website that was linked above.
Day 0 – I had regular food but ate a lot of fruits and vegetables. If you noticed on the PULP Summer Slam video, I was eating apples during the concert. It was my pre-Ease In day.
Day 1 – Strictly fruits and vegetables. I had nilagang baka but only ate the vegetables and the soup. I’m not even sure if that’s allowed since you’re only supposed to eat “live food”. For dinner, I had a salad from Goolai. I felt refreshed. Not that much adjustment since I can go a long time without rice. Surprisingly, the salad made me full and I had more urge to drink more water than I normally did.
Day 2 – I made myself some pure carrot + orange juice and vegetable soup. I started to feel kind of weak. Perhaps it was psychological but I had doubts then if fluids alone could sustain the body. The vegetable soup saved my day (as it’s not purely liquid).
Day 3 – Only had fresh orange juice the whole day and I survived! I kept on licking on a tablespoon covered with Maple syrup though because I needed the “taste”. I felt weak at times but the maple syrup seem to have this “energy kick” that would bring me back to life.

So for 10 days, I only had lemonade and this is how I made my “food”.
PULP Summer Slam 2012
Jimmy and I had the opportunity to watch the biggest annual rock event in the Philippines. It was the first time for me to attend a rock concert and wow, I didn’t expect I’d have that much fun! So intense, I looooove it! And maaaan, our view from the snake pit was awesome (reason why you should be a PULP Royalty)! We could literally touch their sweat!
And boy did they sweat a lot! Passion!
I had a lot of videos but unfortunately, I couldn’t use most of the audio because the speakers beside were too loud. Foohoo. Still, no complaints. We were beside the motherfuckin’ speakers and those guys were growling!!!!! #tigerblood #winning
Watch the video! This guitarist has a revelation.
Thank you again, Happee, Vernon and PULP for inviting us! You guys stage the best concerts! Congratulations on the success of this year’s Slam. You made 30,000 Pinoy fans happy.

Envy Me Salon & Spa Opens at Robinsons Galleria
My good friend from Davao, blogger Ria Jose invited us to the opening of Envy Me Salon & Spa at Robinsons Galleria. We were told that this is their first branch in Manila albeit they are one of the biggest salon franchises down South, having established branches in Mindanao. We didn’t get the chance to attend the opening but last Friday, Miwha, Poyt (who was late LOL) and I finally got a sample of their service. - click to enlarge photos-
Miwha and I getting our hair treatment. I forgot what it’s called exactly but I believe it’s protein treatment as both us have dyed hair. I needed this a lot since it’s been 1 1/2 months since I went to the salon.
Left: Best salon massage ever and it’s free! I badly needed a back massage and that was like an hour worth of massage which came with the treatment. Thank you, Joan! Right: Miwha sipping on her house iced tea! Two thumbs up for the services.
Top: Shampoo and Mani-pedi area. Bottom: Lounge and another mani-pedi, foot massage/spa area.
