Background: I got into Kpop in 2004 because of Dong bang Shin Ki but left about a year after and moved to the Johnny’s Ent & Japanese music fandom. I’ve known Big Bang since their debut but it was their song, Haru Haru that got me active again in Kpop. So to say that those boys are special to me is an understatement.

We were invited by our dear friend, The Official Madam Happee Sy, initially for Jimmy to be a photographer and I, to help out in the coverage. However, things didn’t turn out as planned and last minute, we ended up just watching the show, which is not a bad thing at all. For months, I’ve tried to suppress and deny my excitement and I vowed to myself I won’t have any expectations. BEST. IDEA. EVER.

Since it’s the day that I’d meet the man of my dreams, I came prepared with fashion and shit. When in doubt, pekpek shorts.

Everything from this point onward are Kring’s thoughts during the event, not necessarily in chronological order.

- DAFUQ soooo many fangirls! LOL. Jimmy is scared.
- My friends are EVERYWHERE. Maybe we should just have a PKCI meeting or something.
- Happppeeeee! I’m channeling my inner emo and you’re in a sparkly aquamarine shirt! Angel and devil ang peg? Hahahaha!
- Kay. So my black hair is the talk of the town. Haven’t you guys seen it on Facebook? Haaar!
- No shit, this is the only Kpop concert that I’ve been to where 50% of the audience:
1. have blonde/dyed hair
2. are wearing spikes, blings and fake leather
3. are dressed up like they’re going to a club, smokey eyes inlcuded
4. don’t look like they’re Kpop fans at all. Wait, you’re really wearing Kimonos? O__o
- Dear kuya usher from MOA, why the hell is the seating arrangement weird and shuffled?!?! Stop the meaning of this! We’re supposed to be closer to the extended stage!!!
- OMFG IT’S ONLY 8:30 WHY ARE YOU STARTING ON TIME IT’S TECHNICALLY 30 MINUTES LATE BUT WE’RE PINOYS YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO START AN HOUR AFTER!

KPOP royalty in the house, bitchazzz!

- DAMN FUCK HOLY SHEEETTTTTTT BIIIIIIIG BAAANNNGGGGG!!!! *flails screams waves light stick in the air and loses composure and breeding*
- I can’t believe it… I’ve waited for you for years. You’re in front of me finally. Choi Seung Hyun… T.O.P… Tabi… The love of my life. *sobs*
- Why, hello there, Jimmy Kim sitting beside me. I love you, too but…
- Jiyong-ah, your swag is blinding me. I don’t even. Youngbaeee take your shirt off (and please fuckin’ shave that hair off, too)! Daesung why you so happy ^____^!?! Oh, it’s Seungri. Nuninuninu~
- They have a motherfucking live band with non-Korean musicians?! Tsssssss this is what you call a concert!!!!

I think it was on their third song when I, Jamei and her sister, Princess decided we’d rather have muscle pain than be stuck in our seats so we moved towards the railing, in front of the stage and the speakers (VIP 1). BEST. LOCATION. LIKE. WHOAH.

- OMG they’re literally 10-15 feet away from us I die I pee in my pants!!! hxaioyedbczlzzlwoiz;u!!!!

I am not exaggerating when I say that T.O.P is much more heavenly up close and in real life. How is that even possible?? He’s like a walking photoshopped man!!! The jaw line! The sexy eyes! The dimple on the left cheek! I got pregnant just staring at the perfection that is Choi Seung Hyun… And that low, raspy vice. Ooomph. Ouch, my puson is hurting now just thinking of him.

- Fuck I will dance like no one is watching! This is not a concert, this is a cluuubbbbb!!!! *shake body body dancer*
- HOLY LORD GDTOP IN THE HOUSE! STOP ME!!! STOP ME OR I’LL PUNCH SOMEONE!!! I have so much love for these two guys and they’re my OTP so STFU.
- Oh gawd I wanna just go up there on stage and makeout with you two grrrrrrr!!!
- It’s Seungri’s solo. Lalalalalalalala~

We were trying to catch their attention the whole night since we were just in front of them. I hated my self for not bringing an LED banner (which I can edit with random messages in Hangul). In fairness though, the screaming and the heart signs paid off…

- OMG TAEYANG LOOKED AND SMILED AT US!!!! YEYYYY 1 point for us!!!!

- Partey partey!!! I can’t help but dance to all their songs! I’m sweaty now but I don’t care-eh-eh-eh-eh-are!
- Waaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! Café!!! Blue!!! Love this shit!
- Wait. WTF is that on GD’s left temple? OMG is it bleeding?!?!?! Noooooo!!!!! 

I was later informed by the bouncers that prior to the GDTOP set, he hit his head on the way back down to the backstage. It’s not a wound but more a scratch. A red, bulging “scratch”. Poor kid…. 

- *shouts Daesung’s name* Whoohoo! He smiled and even waved at us holy freaakkk! Two points down, three more to go!!
- I need to drink OMG I’m sooo thirsty. Water! Water!
- Oh shit I forgot I have my boyfriend with me. Oh, he’s seated down and on his phone, online and surfing the net. LOL.
-  OMG TAEYANG SOLO LIKE A BAMF!!! That’s right, bitch! Rip that shirt off! *screams*
- I think 80% of the audience is simultaneously having an orgasm right now.
- Okay, TOP. You’re totally not dancing WTF is that? My aunt can dance better.
- Whoever was Seungri looking at, she probably fainted already.
- Big Bang please give us a moment to rest dear god please sing an unpopular song so we could take a break!!!
- Somebody threw underwear at Tabi. Oh, really? Bitch, it is on! Should I flash him?? Should I? But the bouncers are in front of us.

I’m not fan of the YG dancers but I know they’re quite popular. Jamei and her sister kept on interacting with one of the Kwon Twins who was friendly enough to acknowledge them.

- OMG. HARU HARU. I won’t cry. I won’t cry. Nooooooo!!! This is sooo surreal. It’s like… a gift. *I got quite emotional on this part*
- During the speech part, we kept on shouting “Choi Seung Hyun” and then boom, HE LOOKED AT US! No reaction or anything but he looked at me in the eyes. I was about to break down. Also, three points. 

Photos and videos do not justify your beauty. So near… yet so far… (yes, we were this near).
Someday, love. Someday we gonna be making love. Choz! Charatitat!

- And then…. “I’m so sorry but I love you da geojitmal. Iya mollasseo ijeya arasseo nega piryohae!” Whoohoo KARAOKE SING ALONG NORAEBANG!!!

Hahaha! These boys are the only group that I’ve watched who sang their songs twice! During the encore part, they started to throw towels and stuff to the audience and I swear, the girls beside us literally FOUGHT over the T.O.P towel. In the lower box, too, there was a rumble, which involved about six to seven girls, physically hurting each other over… Jiyong’s T-shirt. The bouncers had to step in. True fangirl story.

- Wowowow! Princess got Deukie’s towel! Hahahaha! I WANT T.O.P’s underwear how how how?!?!
- LOOOL. Seungri was looking at us (four points). But I want G-Dragon! I want youuuu, pleaseeee!!!
- LOL Daesung is now literally wet and Seungri is taking photos of the panda toy. With his Samsung Galaxy. #productplacement
- Mother of gawd Taeyang is half naked again, sweaty and dancing like a mother fucking macho dancer!!!!! You makin’ us sin, boy! STOP IT! No, don’t stop! Giling more!
- So somebody also threw a bra at my love and condom at Daesung? WTF would Dae do to the condom? Smile at it the whole night?
- Gosh T.O.P you’re such a dork! I don’t know how but I’ll marry you someday. Itaga mo ‘yan sa bato.
- Noooo!! Don’t gooooo!! T______T
- Me: So bebe, what do you think of them?
Jimmy: They’re gooooood!

He later explained that Seungri was looking at him because he was the only one sitting down and busy on the phone (perhaps looking uninterested?). But no, really he looooved and enjoyed the show and that makes me chirp!

I can’t even explain how happy I am right now. I didn’t get to go backstage with them or meet them like I did 2NE1, ZE:A, Kim Hyun Joong, etc. but just watching them live, seeing them so close (pores, crotch bulge and all) and feeling their energy is already a blessing.

Those boys are legitly good. No lip synching (though there are back-up singers) and my gaddd this is one of the few concerts that I’ve watched where I knew ALL the songs. I have no more voice, my body and feet hurt and my plan to be a “corporate prim and proper fangirl” was thrown out of the window but that’s what made it fun. I hope next time I see them, I’d get to really meet them and you know, hang out and such.

Many many many thanks to my girl, Happee for this experience. I love you and you know that. New projects are lined up so let’s gora the explorer!

Thank you for the music (which is what I primarily got me to love you anyways but your gorgeousness and swag don’t hurt either) and for sharing your awesomeness to the Filipino fans. You didn’t have the best stage set-up compared to others but yours was just full of heart. This won’t be our last.

I love many other Korean groups but IMO, Big Bang is the best there is and you may STFU ‘coz your argument is invalid.

Pond’s Face My Love. What is 

This “webenovela” as Pond’s dubbed it instantly became a hit with the first episode! I mean, why not? Even if you’re not into Hallyu (Korean wave), the story still played on the “not-so-pretty girl liking the hottest boy in school” fantasy, which, we have to admit, is something most teens can relate with. Add to that the fact that this shit was really well-produced. Look at the lighting and the production design and the quality of the video!!! %#($&)&@^$T_!*( I wish I could do something that nice for an online show, too! Great job you gaaaaiz!

As much as I am not a fan happy endings, I have to say this series hit home. Hit home so hard, man. Right in the teenage-hood. You know that a story is good when you actually get attached to the characters and based on the feedback of the viewers, it seems that everyone felt for Kim, Dara and Lee and have been asking for a continuation or a part 2!!! Will this be turned into a full-blown movie or a TV series? Let’s stay tuned. (Dear Pond’s, if you need another talent, eheeeem *points to sliding header* XD)
