How To Get a Korean Boyfriend Goes Viral!

Written by Kring Elenzano on November 6th, 2011. Posted in Celebrity, Humor and Crack, Korea, Video Blogging

The How to Get a Korean Boyfriend video has officially gone viral. In Korea. OMG.

Last Thursday, it only had about 16,000 views, which to my standards were pretty high. As of this writing, it already has around 200,000 views on YouTube (in one day!) and my hits on the My Korean Boyfriend blog has spiked like whoah!

I believe it was first picked up by Kuki News last Friday night. The write up was very positive and I’d like to thank the writer for starting all this… craziness! Haha! The next thing I know, we were all over the major Korean news portals come Saturday morning!!! Most of the reviews were positive although of course, you cannot help but get negative feedback as well.

The video had been featured on TV Daily (Cherish said she liked their article the most), Paran, Newsen (which I think had the negative write-up) and Chosun (the only website that mentioned our names), among others. Apparently, we were also trending and were on the homepages of Naver and Daum.

ANYAREEE?

What is screencap. LOL.

Never in my wildest dreams!!! Oh oh oh… I wonder if TOP has seen this already~ *flails*

Jasmine Lee, Filipina Host and Actress in Korea!

Written by Kring Elenzano on October 3rd, 2011. Posted in Film and TV, Korea, Love and Relationships

I totally freaked out when I saw this! On our last day in Korea last June, we were channel surfing while having lunch and then I distinctly heard Tagalog words from the woman on TV! OMG It was Jasmine Lee on “Basic Korean for Foreigners”!

Totally not basic. Not at all. -___-

I first learned about Jasmine Lee through Buhay sa Korea. She is the most popular Filipina in Korea, for obvious reasons. Ms. Lee one of the panelists on the Tuesday Night KBS show, “Love in Asia” and has appeared in movies like 의형제 Uihyeongje (Secret Reunion), which I just watched the 2011 Korean Film Festival. She played a Vietnamese wife there. Just recently, she was cast in 완득이 Wandeugi (Punch) as Yoo Ah In’s (Sungkyungkwan Scandal) Filipina mom!
